Filming journal

Unfortunately the day we have chosen to film was very grey and weather reports stated it would rain most of the morning. So we decided to film the scene in summers bedroom. We began with shooting close up shots of summer on her bed. She found it difficult to remember the lyrics, s Dani held up the lyrics on her phone, while I filmed. Summer still found it uncomfortable having to sing on her own so we all decided to sing along with her, as the sound is going to get cut out in post production. We filmed Summer from lots of different angles so we could decide later what shots to include. Then we filmed her in her bathroom getting ready to go out.
Luckily by the time we have finished filming at Summer's house it had stopped raining. We all then drove to Marlow and picked up Fraser, our second actor. When we did test shots we found a good place to film Summer releasing the boats. We had to be quick while filming the paper boats as they were going off in different directions. Once we had got lots of different angles, we filmed Fraser walking across the bridge and looking over at Summer. We had to be quick as we then had to walk to the station to film the train coming in.
We did not intend to film on the train as we need to give the trail company the schools public liability insurance, which we were unable to get until after half term. Although we wanted to film the train coming in and Fraser sat on the station waiting for the train. Unfortunately we were unable to film the train coming in as an unwell passenger had to be assisted off the train by a paramedic. We have planned to come back one day next week to film Fraser getting on the train and the train going off.
Once we were finished at the train station we decided to go back to the park to film some more shots of Summer lip syncing. Fraser was no longer needed so he went home.
The sun started to come down so we decided to finish filming for the day.
