Test paper boats

After pitching to the class we were told to test the paper boats on water to see how well they float on water. We made up three paper boats and tested the boats in the bath. They managed to stay afloat for around 5 minutes. This means we will have to be quick while filming them to ensure they do not sink.
To make the boats float for longer we will make them out of card, so they are sturdier.

Originally we were just going to have the paper boats as white but we have now decided to change them to red because the paper boats become washed out and are harder to see. However the red boats will look a lot bolder and stand out more. Red is a colour which represents love which will make the narrative clearer to the audience. The boats can now represent the star image letting go of her love.
